Blame! (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsutomu Nihei. It was published by Kodansha in the seinen manga magazine Monthly Afternoon from January 1997 to July 2003, with its chapters collected in ten tankōbon volumes. A six-part original net animation (ONA) by Group TAC was produced in 2003, with a seventh episode included on the DVD release. An anime film adaptation by Polygon Pictures was released as a Netflix original in May 2017.

Blame manga follows Killy, a mysterious loner armed with a powerful Gravitational Beam Emitter, as he travels through the enormous futuristic City in search of the rare Net Terminal Genes, which may be the key to controlling the City’s endless expansion and stopping the deadly Safeguard. Along the way, he joins forces with the engineer Cibo and encounters various human tribes, cyborgs, and artificial intelligences. Their journey leads to battles against the Silicon Life and the Safeguard, devastating entire regions of the City. After years of recovery and continued searching, Killy eventually reaches the edge of the City, carrying a mysterious sphere containing genetic information connected to Cibo and Sanakan. Although badly injured, Killy survives and continues his endless journey through the vast, dangerous world.
