Killy, a mysterious warrior, travels through the enormous City searching for Net Terminal Genes that could save humanity from the expanding Megastructure and deadly Safeguard robots. Along the way, he teams up with Cibo and faces humans, cyborgs, and powerful enemies, suffering many losses and battles. After Cibo and Sanakan die, Killy continues his journey with a mysterious genetic sphere. He eventually reaches the City’s surface, where the sphere begins to glow, but the story ends ambiguously with Killy still fighting alongside a small child.
